pinetop2014Fate's PatriotThomson, Ga:   Connemaras did very well at the Thanksgiving weekend Horse Trials held at Pine Top Farm in northeast Georgia. Leading the winners was Laura Duhamel who won the Training Rider Division on her Connemara/TB, Balmullo’s Patriot, who she shows as Fate’s Patriot aka Patrick.  She won the Training Rider Division, finishing on her dressage score of 33.6. Patrick was sired by the now 32-year-old Concord River Roaringwater Bay.

In the Open Training Division, Megan Harris was third on her halfbred, Sparrow’s Owen, by the well known jumping phenom, Grange Finn Sparrow.  She also finished on her dressage score. Right behind her in fourth was Donna Miller riding her four-year-old son of ArdCeltic Art, Celtic Mark, also a halfbred.  ArdCeltic Art was another jumping phenomenon as well as showing at the upper levels of dressage and eventing successfully to the Intermediate level. Doing well, too, was Rylee Gayley who got her start riding a purebred Connemara.  She now rides an Irish Sport Horse, Fernhill Xanthos. They were second in the Training/Novice Division.
