A JEF Sir Lancelot offspring has excelled at the US Pony Finals for the second year in a row. In August Happy Feet (aka Timon) placed 12th overall in the Large Green Pony division. Last year Lance’s daughter Radiance placed 12th overall in the Medium Regular Pony division.
Timon was 2nd in Under Saddle and 4th in Model, which put him in first place out of 82 ponies going into the Over Fences class. In an otherwise beautiful ride, he swapped leads between fences and placed 18th in the class, making his final Overall placing 12th. Timon is a 6 year old gelding standing 14.1 ½. Sired by JEF Sir Lancelot, he’s out of the Welsh mare Just a Kid and is owned by Whitney Snyder Hydeman of Manhattan, KS. He has been in training for the past two years with Ashley Duda at Hunter Hill Farm in Randolph, KS. Adam Edgar of Leesburg, VA, did a superb job piloting Timon. It was a terribly exciting week for Team Timon. Duda said, “I am so proud of this pony who is oh so very green – only six times competing in the greens this year and most times with different riders. He is a champ in my heart.” Connemara stallion JEF Sir Lancelot stands at Irish Gate Farm in Westmoreland, KS, and is owned by Bob and Pattie Stalder.
