Paradox Westerly is a big mare by Kynynmont Cooper O’ Grady who is a talented dressage competitor and sire of many more. She is out of my most reliable and very typey mare, Tower Hill’s Breeze, by *Kilfenora Windy Isles, who has won many classes in hand over the years. Westie started out with some cowboy ground work and as a dressage pony. Then she had a tendon cleanup at Tufts, took a year off to have a foal and prove herself as a dam, and then started her next career of Carriage Driving. She is happy between the shafts and also happy on the trails of Northeastern PA. As a dressage pony she had an excellent work ethic, nice big walk, an elastic trot and big round canter. She has been very relaxed and interested at a number of shows this year, one with a teenaged pickup rider in pleasure and equitation classes. Next is the Region 1 ACPS show.
