The Crestwood Award is given for outstanding personal endeavor on the part of the Connemara pony. The 2023 winner of the Crestwood Award is Cathy Blackmon of Hillsborough, NC. She has been investing her time and talents for the benefit of the Connemara pony and the ACPS for at least 20 years. She has been a member of the board of Governors, Treasurer, President of the Board of Governors, chief financial wizard, nominating committee member, awards committee member and mentor to other board members. She is seasoned competitor and sits on the USEF Connemara Committee. She also represents the Connemara pony in the eventing world, winning HOTY awards with her talented grey gelding Hideaway’s Special Edition. They were even featured on a major Farnam ad campaign for Senior Strong! And lastly she has a daughter coming along with her own Connemara breeding program. Congratulations and thanks Cathy Blackmon!

About the Award
The Crestwood Trophy was donated by Catherine Mack and Sue Smith in 1987 in memory of Anne Gascoyne. It is awarded annually for outstanding personal endeavor on behalf of the Connemara Pony.
