The ACPS Tre Awain Halfbred award goes to a Connemara halfbred who has had a career of outstanding accomplishment and durability , both competitive and noncompetitive. The 2025 winner is Morning Glory’s Belle Fille, a 15 hand grey mare by Fiddler’s Glory Boy x French Letters (TB) . She was bred by Mary Brandes Dearden and owned by Janet Gunn. She was a successful eventer and jumper and a beloved companion for almost 20 years. She competed at Warrenton and Upperville and HITS at Culpepper. After each jump she seemed to say “where is the next one?” She was “Best halfbred of the day” at the Region 3 show. But the most important thing is that Janet is happy to see her face every time she goes out to the barn.
