Bred and born in Ireland with a fabulous performance pedigree. Duster displays excellent conformation with tons of bone, huge rock hard hooves, a lovely head and neck, and big scopey movement. Best of all, though, is Duster’s temperament. He is calm and easy to handle in every situation. In Ireland, he was successful both in hand and in dressage and had begun schooling jump courses, showing great promise in that arena as well. He also went on beach rides in big groups and trailered in small trailers with mares in heat without making a fuss. He earned his class one inspection status, which is the highest rating a Connemara can have in Ireland. He stamps his foals most noticeably with his beautiful head, well-sprung long neck, and easy temperament. Duster was imported to the US in June of 2022. He handled his travels and month-long quarantine well with reports throughout his journey of what a gentle and easy stallion he is. We too have found him sweet and easy to handle, but, wow, does he have presence and athleticism as well! His 2023 foals for us likewise are easy-going and people-oriented. After the 2023 breeding season, Duster headed to Ocala to leg up and try out eventing! His rider and trainer Elliott Timmons reports that he loves it and gets compliments on both his looks and demeanor wherever he goes. He won his first recognized event at the Starter level, finishing on his dressage score and is moving up for his next event.
