Kynynmont Erin Margret, Broodmare IN FOAL

Kynynmont Erin Margret

Kynynmont Erin Margret, fondly known around the farm as Molly, is a 2014, 14.3H Buckskin Connemara mare, (approved Westfalen) and bred by the late Pam Liddell, well known for her Dressage bred horses, most notably Kynynmont Gunsmoke’s Gideon, trained and competed by JJ Tate. This golden buckskin broodmare is offered IN FOAL for 2027 to Kinderwelt J, direct son of Weltmeyer.

Kinderwelt J aka “Welly” was the 2025 ProElite/USDF Breeders Championship Grand Champion Stallion South East Series and ranked #4 USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeding HOY Stallions 4yo and older in 2025. A 2015 registered KWPN stallion out of a Trakehner mare by Cupric and sired by Weltmeyer, one of the most legendary and influential Hanoverian dressage sires in equestrian history.

Weltmeyer is remembered as one of the most influential dressage stallions of his generation, and continues to almost single-handedly reshape the Hanoverian breed. Bred in Germany by Hermann Meyer, this iconic stallion was known for his power, uphill movement, and exceptional charisma. With his striking chestnut coat, commanding presence, and expressive movement, he became a name closely associated with power, elegance, and quality in sport horse breeding. Sired by World Cup I x Absatz, Weltmeyer carried bloodlines known for producing athleticism, rideability, and exceptional talent for the dressage arena. His influence has been felt through generations of horses, passing on expressive movement, strength, and a remarkable ability to perform.

As a sire, Weltmeyer became especially admired for producing offspring with presence, uphill movement, and the kind of charisma that stands out in both competition and breeding. His legacy continues to be celebrated by breeders and dressage enthusiasts around the world. For those who appreciate classic dressage bloodlines, Weltmeyer represents a powerful combination of beauty, performance, and lasting genetic influence. His name remains a symbol of quality and excellence in the dressage world.

Molly is by the Imported Champion German Connemara Pony stallion *Smaragaid Cliff, by the Danish dressage champion Munkholm Cobbergate (Ardnasillagh O’Flaherty x Oxenholm Cora) out of the German Federal Premium Mare Shamrock Bright Roxanne (Power Boy x Bright Pearl). He was bred by Martina Ferfers of Smaragaid Connemaras in Germany.

*Smaragaid Cliff has been inspected and approved by the American Connemara Pony Society and earned the honor of being named a Premium Stallion, the ACPS’s top designation for inspected ponies. Cliff brings new, exceptional bloodlines to the U.S., offering well-known and respected European Connemara Ponies close up on both sides of his pedigree, including multiple Danish Elite mares, Danish Elite stallions and German Federal Premium mares as well as champion Danish dressage stallions. Cliff is a third generation dressage champion; his sire and grandsire were both FEI Pony Dressage Medalists. As a USEF Leading Sire in Dressage, Eventing and Dressage Breeding, Cliff’s progeny proves that he successfully passes on his own award-winning ways and those of his famous ancestors.

According to a 2013 report by the Connemara Pony Breeders Society in Ireland, Cliff is among the best possible out-cross stallions for mare owners. To quote the report: “Many of these rare line stallions are free of Abbeyleix Owen, Mervyn Kingsmill, Hazy Dawn and Ashfield Sparrow. Consequently, they and some of their daughters are ideal for developing outcross stallions for breeding with the large numbers of mares from overused stallions.” Cliff’s grandfather, Ardnasillagh O’Flaherty, is listed in the report as a rare line stallion. Cliff also has none of these ‘overused stallions’ anywhere in his pedigree.

Cliff is 14.3 hands with 9 inches on bone, inspected Premium by the American Connemara Pony Society for his exceptional conformation, movement, temperament and type. Cliff is a joy with a temperament that is kind, tractable, brave and happy. Named a USEF Leading Dressage Breeding Sire (top ranked Connemara), USEF Leading Eventing Sire, USEF Leading Dressage Sire (top ranked Connemara) and USEF Dressage HOTY. Cliff was the 2007 USDF Breeders’ Championship Reserve Grand Champion Stallion Rocky Mountain Series Final and has multiple USDF All-Breed Championships. Cliff produces In-Hand Champions, balanced dressage gaits and Dressage Champions with the conformation to jump and Champion Eventers. Awarded Two ACPS Gold Medallion Lifetime Achievement Awards for In-Hand and Dressage.

Molly’ dam is a beautiful purebred Connemara broodmare, Kynynmont Moira (Ballywhim Sterling Moss x Greystone Erin Moireen), who reliably produces very kind, very trainable, very sensible youngsters. Pam Lydell’s beloved mare passes on her lovely disposition and trainability to her offspring. Before becoming a full-time broodmare, Pam and Moira had a lot of success in dressage competitions together! Most notably Moira foaled the purebred breeding stallion Kynynmont Cooper O’Grady, who has shown successfully through Intermediare I and is schooling Grand Prix movements. Cooper was the 2013 ACPS Connemara of the Year and 2023 Hall of Fame An Tostal Winner, an award for recognition of a career of outstanding achievement, both competitive and noncompetitive, of a purebred Connemara stallion.

This beautiful buckskin broodmare has striking golden dapples in the summer, with dark accents and one hind sock. While Molly showed to be highly trainable, her riding career was cut short after an unfortunate pasture incident (2018), therefore Molly is offered as a BROODMARE ONLY.

Breeding Date: May 1, 2026. Foal due: April 6, 2027. Foal will be eligible for double registry – ACPS as a Half-bred Connemara, as well as Westfalen NA. Mare has been inspected by Westfalen NA in the Main Mare Book. Mare has not been inspected by ACPS, but could be by the new owner.
