Sue Antilla
The Crestwood Service Award was donated by Catherine Mack and Sue Smith in 1987 in memory of Ann Gascoyne. It is awarded annually for outstanding personal endeavor on the part of the Connemara Pony. The 2025 recipient is Sue Antilla of CT who is the personification of the industrious devoted Connemara person working quietly in the back ground. The results of her work are legion. In 2012 we were short of cash to support our Region 1 booth at Equine Affaire and she started printing and selling the stunning Region 1 Calendars, now with participants from all over the county, and still raising money for our scholarships. Around the same time she started collecting photos of the Hall of Fame Winners and making a poster with 20 photos of each to display at the Annual Meeting and for the owner to keep and frame. She makes mailing labels for the ACPS achievement awards, and for the 2025 Annual meeting she and Caroline Nesbitt made an amazing historical collection of photos and pedigrees of prominent mares and stallions and their HOF offspring.
