The purebred Connemara of the year for 2025 is a pony who has had a great year representing the Connemara breed. This year the award goes ( for the second time) to Windy Hollow Lilia, bred by Amy Plavin of Vermont, by Seaborne’s Flagship x HH Greystone’s Irish Wind. She is owned by Katherine Short and ridden by Ella Graham. Lil is 29 years old. She has won the ACPS Golden Shamrock Award and was Connemara of the Year in 2010 . This year she won her D3 with her rider, she was the oldest pony at the Dressage Pony Cup Championships and she was part of the ridden demo at the Defender  Kentucky  3 days event. She also helped retore the confidence of her rider who had had a bad fall in 2023. Such a pony!
