2025 Camlin Performance: Paradox Pippin

Horse and rider trotting in dressage test

The ACPS Camlin Award goes to a purebred Connemara gelding or mare who has had a career of outstanding  achievement, demonstrating accomplishment and durability.  The winner this year is Paradox Pippin, a 2002 14.3 hand buckskin son of Aladdin’s Denver x Tower Hill’s Carmody {*Chiltern Copa of Tower Hill}) bred by Sally Oxnard.  He was only ridden and trained by his owner, Linda Roache and progressed from Intro level dressage to Third Level with multiple championships in his 10 seasons of Dressage competition in schooling shows and 5 or more USEF and USDF shows per season in the Connecticut area.

Linda often returned from the CDCTA awards banquet with a fistful of  ribbons as his photo was posted with the warmblood winners looming over him and her friends and colleagues congratulated her.

In addition he enjoyed organized trail rides, some horse trials for fun, and clinics where a variety of clinician including Lendon Grey were impressed with him. Like many Connemaras, he was a real character. Linda still misses him.
