I became a lifetime member of the ACPS in 1973. I traveled extensively through Europe, England, and Ireland with my mother, Rachel Page Elliott, author of “Dogsteps,” internationally-known lecturer and authority on canine movement and structure.
Pen-pal friendships evolved through this travel with long time Connemara breeders and international friends. With their encouragement, my mother and I purchased two Round Robin Geldings as well as two mares, Lynnfield’s Proud Hope and Towerhill Tipperary. This soon established Concord River Connemaras at River Road Farm in Carlisle, MA.
I am a life member of PATH International and a recently retired Occupational Therapist who specialized in work with developmentally disabled adults.
My lifetime works with horses and ponies at the River Road farm has included 4H, Pony Club, teaching, drag hunting, and showing. I served on the ACPS BOG for over 30 years in the capacity of ACPS president 2000-2003, ACPS Bylaws committee, three-time Annual ACPS meeting Chairman, Arbitration chairman, and Nominating committee chairman, twice as chairman of the Strategic Planning committee. I have been a member of the ACPS inspections committee since its inception in the 1990’s.
